Hi,

I have a TFS in Italian Language (single installation) on W2003 in Italian Language.

I just installed "SfTS v3 Process Template x86" and Deployed Template in Default Colletion and run well.

I try to create a new project with SFTS template but during creation an error occurs :

Hi Paolo,

The GacUtil error is caused by using a version of the GacUtil tool that does not support .Net 4.

Suggestion 1:

Download the latest .Net SDK and use the new version of the GacUtil utility.

Suggestion 2:

You can also add assemblies to your GAC by drag 'n drop between 2 explorer windows.

  1. Launch 2 explorer windows.
Note: If running a UAT enabled operating system, ensure both windows are elevated ("Run as Adminstrator").
  2. In window 1; navigate to the directory containing the metrics assembly.
  3. In window 2; navigate to "c:\windows\assembly"
  4. Drag the "metrics" dll into the "assembly" folder.

Hi Paolo,

I seem to recall a German user having a simular issue. The fix was to install the SharePoint 2010 language pack.

Post back and let us know if this helps.

What a lot of errors!

This error is telling us that the SfTS reports cannot be uploaded to the Reporting Services instance because the reference assembly ("Conchango.TeamSystem.Metrics, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=13d7c658a290ad85") cannot be found.

The SfTS v3 reports makes use of a special .Net assembly in order to calculate the trend lines. The metric assembly needs to be installed into the GAC of the machine that hosts the reporting services instance. The installation is part of the SfTS v3 template installer process.

Did the re-installation of SfTS v3 have any errors?

If your SSRS is installed on a seperate physical tier, has the installer been run on that tier?

Some users have reported that the installer has skipped the Metrics assembly. I discuss a work around in the following thread.

Hi Crispin,

After manual copy of Conchango.TeamSystem.Metrics.dll in c:\windows\assembly all run well.

Now I can try to evaluate if Scrum4TS can help our team software.

Great !!

Many thanks

Best regards

Paolo
