Scrum for Team System Guidance / Version 3 / TFS Workbench / Task Board

Task Board

The Task Board mode of the workbench enables you to control the work item status by drag and drop interaction. Work item data is displayed in a swimlane format where rows represent the parent work item and columns represent the child work item status. Moving child items along the row updates the child item status as indicated by the column title.

The workbench offers multiple task board views. Each view (seperated by tabs at the top of the Task Board) represents a parent types, link type and child relationship. Using the multiple views it is possible to control many linked work item aspects.

Also avilable is the ability to create your own views or customise the existing views. This allows you to handle any type of work item relationships and model any team project template.
